PICNIC DINNER AND ICE CREAM SOCIAL/DESSERT BAR

The WGGC is celebrating our successful plant sale by hosting a garden tour, picnic with an Ice Cream Social and Dessert Bar on Monday evening, June 17th. Dave and Joan Poos have graciously offered their fabulous Crestwood Garden as the venue. The event will start at 5:30 pm and last until 7:30 pm (approximately). Members and plant sale contributors are invited to bring their picnic dinner and their chair(s) to the garden. Members/ Contributors can bring a guest if they so desire. A variety of Ice Cream/Desserts, iced tea and water will be provided. This event acknowledges those who contributed to the plant sale (workers and donors) and welcomes all our new and continuing members.  Please see the June newsletter to RSVP.

Our garden club membership consists of men and women, young and not so young, living in Webster or miles from Webster, and range from novice gardeners to Master Gardeners. We are a diverse organization who welcome members who love to garden. We usually have six meetings a year at the Webster Groves Recreation Center on the second Monday of the month at 7:15pm. At these meetings we have presentations by experts on various gardening interests. When not at the Rec Center, we have events at the gardens of members who wish to share their love for gardening. We also have an annual plant sale from member gardens (see below), support and build community gardens, and provide scholarships to college students studying horticulture.
